A public sector partner can replace its RPVS authorised person at any time and without giving a reason. Section 4(6) of Slovak Act No. 315/2016 expressly recognises this right. Typical reasons are slow communication, the previous authorised person's practice closing down, or wanting corporate work and RPVS handled by one lawyer.
When taking over, we first review the existing verification document, the history of changes and whether any qualified complaint is pending. We then sign an agreement, file the change and carry out our own verification within 30 days. If the previous authorised person does not cooperate, we verify the details independently from public registers and from you.
Replacing the authorised person does not interrupt the partner's entry. Contracts with the public sector remain valid and you can still sign new ones.
The new authorised person must carry out a verification and prepare its own document within 30 days of being registered. It cannot adopt its predecessor's document.
If the current authorised person's role ends, the partner has 30 days to appoint a new one. Otherwise the entry may be removed.
